Misti Stamping Tool Tutorials 101!

Hey Crafters,
I have been working for a while on this series that brings you what you need to know about the Misti Stamping Tool and some tips and tricks to using it. I have created a seven video series that covers all the basics. Enjoy and feel free to leave a comment!

The Basics

Background/Reverse Stamps

My first tutorial features background stamps and reverse stamps - reverse stamps are stamps that have a lot of area to stamp (like the black area on the background stamp in the photo). All the supplies are listed under each tutorial! This card features stamps from So Suzy Stamps and BasicGrey.

Masking Tutorial

My next tutorial features some great masking techniques so I can make all these friends hold hands :) So quick and easy with the Misti! This adorable stamp is from Create a Smile :)

Masking and Layering Stamps Tutorial

For this card I created some very life-like flowers using the Altenew Vintage Flowers Stamp and created an adorable watercolour like title using Hero Arts Ombre Ink.

Ombré Tutorial

Here I did a tutorial on how to make a gradient or ombré effect - light to dark on a sentiment. Give it a try! I love this Random Quotes Stamp from Tim Holtz - lots of amazing, big, bold sentiments!

Die Cutting Tutorial

Here I show you how to die cut your stamps and stamp them perfectly centre onto your die cut. It is so easy - check it out! Clearly Besotted makes the most adorable stamps - don't you think?!

Lastly I wanted to show you some bulk cards that you can create in minutes - they make a great gift in a pack or send them individually and put a smile on someone's face! This amazing stamp is from So Suzy Stamps!

Thanks everyone for watching and checking out my blog :)

  1. GREAT series. I am so glad you love your MISTI!

  2. Have only watched 3 videos so far, but WOW that music was TOO LOUD compared to your voice!!! It's a REAL PAIN when you have to turn your speakers ALL THE WAY UP to barely hear your voice and then that music comes on while you color and blasts you our of your chair!!!!!

But, while I'm waiting for my ears to stop ringing I'll just say that I was very happy to get a MISTI for Christmas so wanted to watch some videos of people using it before I try it for myself. It does look very easy and very convenient to use so I'm sure I'll love mine as much as it appears so many stampers love theirs.

    1. I realize the music was off in a couple videos in the series, my apologies. Since then I have changed my sound software and my new videos after this series should not have this problem.

  3. Thanks so much for doing this series - I got a MISTI for Christmas and these are very helpful to get started!
