Altenew February 2018 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

09:00

Welcome to the February 2018 Altenew Release Blog Hop! I hope you have been inspired so far along the hop and that you'll stay a while here and check out my projects! I decided to work a little on my Altenew Educator program and I've been taking the amazing Masking class where I learned how to do the card above. First I die cut an oval frame using the Create a Wreath die out of masking paper and added it to my card panel. Using the Ornamental Flower stamp, I stamped the layers inside the frame to form a flower. I masked off the flower and added leaves and more flowers, masking each one of them off each time. so it gives it a very in-depth bouquet look. If you want to learn more about masking and liquid masking, be sure to check out the class!

GIVEAWAY!!
I am giving away a $30 gift certificate to Altenew! I will announce the winner on February 15th on this post. Additionally, to celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to SIX lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by Wednesday, February 14th for a chance to win. Six winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 2/16/2018.

This card here took me a little out of my comfort zone with the Happy Bloom Stamp. I wanted to do some Copic Colouring that didn't take too long and was generally quite easy to do. Did you know that embossing powder doesn't resist copics? So what I did was stamp the image in normal copic-friendly ink, coloured the image, then restamped using my Misti Stamping Tool in versamark and embossed it in Platinum! I also created my own platinum paper for this card to match!
