Quick, Easy and Simple with Catherine Pooler Inks!

08:25

Hi Crafters,
This week has been packed with techniques and bundles of cards so today I decided to go quick, easy and simple to show you that you can literally create a beautiful, vibrant and fun card to cheer anyone up in just 5 minutes (or less for that matter!). I wanted to show off how great the new Catherine Pooler Inks are - the stunning colours, the perfect impression every time without needing a fancy stamping tool and the fact that ink residue from dark to light colours is non existent! Because I love these so much, I am sponsoring a "NEW TO THE PARTY" set of inks out of pocket - that is how much I love them!

Find Catherine Pooler Inks Here

Catherine is also super amazing and is sponsoring a bundle of products over on my favourite Facebook Page Stamp Junkies as well as on another great page called Simply Cardmaking with Laurel Beard and over on Stamp Nation! Enjoy!

Be sure to join me tomorrow as I am guest designing for Gerda Steiner Designs and I am participating in the new release hop for The Ton Stamps!

  4. These look so vibrant, the inks. Very interested to see them in real life. Thank you for the YouTube video and I love them. Not sure where the negativity came from regarding them but I don't think I could be anywhere near where I am in card making or any other craft with out them. Thank you for the time, energy and $$ that you use to share you talents with the world.

  6. How long does it take me to make a card? Anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 or 3 days, depending on if I can make the image in my mind work on paper. Thanks for your videos, I realize how much time and effort it takes to do one and I really appreciate everyone who is willing to put in the time.

  7. I'm certainly intrigued by these inks after seeing your showcase, Justine (and using butterflies added to the appeal...love butterflies!). You're a sweetheart for supporting Catherine with videos and buoying her spirits. I can't fathom why anyone would be negative about the videos; they're such an incredible investment of time, energy and creativity. I, for one, 'need' videos like yours to guide, inform and entertain.
Average card making time...oh my! Anywhere from 15 min to an hour...and we won't discuss how long to come up with the ideas *grin* Thank you for being so inspiring ! Loved listening to your So Suzy podcast!

  11. Pretty butterfly card... love the colors!
How long to make a card? Sometimes it takes me days! I often do things in steps and have to mull it over to see what comes next! If I know exactly what I'm doing and I have my planned supplies all assembled, it probably takes an hour from start to finish.

  12. I love how vibrant those ink colors are! It take me anywhere from 30 mins to a couple hours to make a card. I could probably make the process faster if I already had a bunch of card bases cut and did some other prep work.

  15. It can take me 30 minutes to a couple of hours to make a card. It just depends on what I'm trying to create. It it's something new and I'm experimenting with techniques it can take awhile to make a card I like.

  16. I love your clean and simple card! The addition of Catherine Pooler inks only adds to its beauty; the colors are so vibrant. I usually make more than one card at a time, but cards fully completed take anywhere from 30 minutes to days depending on my planning process.

  17. Depends on the card. On average I would say it takes at least an hour to complete a card. Love it though!!

  18. Just the card I needed on the very rainy day!

  19. It usually takes me a few days to make a card because I stop to do some other things and go back to it, It also takes a lot of time because I just can't decide on my base colour, placement, sentiment...it goes on and on, LOL!!! I love your card today, I am a butterfly lover too and Catherine's inks really do look amazing, Ive never tried them but it looks like they come in some really gorgeous colours!

  20. Absolutely LOVE the bright colors in your card! Thanks for sharing your talent!

  21. I really appreciate cards that take minutes to make and look fabulous! I didn't know the difference between Catherine Pooler's ink pads and others. I took particular notice of this because I like to make plaid patterns and the large, solid stamps I use don't always stamp well (hence my need for a Mini Misti this Christmas). Good to know! Thanks for the all the ideas this week, Justine!

  22. Sometimes it takes me days to do a card, depending on time...and if I know what I want to do or not, other ties I can do it in an afternoon...but I'm kinda slow at all of them, guess I'm not real good at card making. LOL If I'd done one like it before, I'm usually faster...but don't do that real often. I love simple cards, but not always good at keeping them simple, cause I don't think my simple looks good and natural near as well as yours do...not that I'm any good at those elaborate, elegant fancy ones either. LOL

  23. I agree with Catherine. The negativity does not belong on people who take the time to make the youtubes and show how they achieved making a card. Be happy that somebody is sharing their talent.

  45. When I want to CASE someone's card I look at it and think, "oh, that looks pretty simple," those are the cards that end up taking me forever. When the card looks complicated I seem to get it done much faster. I have been making one layer cards lately and I'm getting much faster, maybe 10 - 15 minutes which is really good timing for me.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Such a fast and easy card. Yet how lovely. It depends on which technique. I would say. One single, unique card would take me about an hour. What can I say...I'm slow; but I have fun.

  49. I am very slow at card making, I would say 2-3 hours lol. I love the beautiful colors on this card

  50. Sometimes it can take me days to make a card and other times I can bang out 10 cards in an hour. It all depends on whether I have a plan going in or if I am winging it. Also depends on who it is for and if my mojo is with me! LOL TFS!

    ReplyDelete
  51. It usually takes me 20-30 mins and I usually don't repeat cards.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I rarely sit and make an entire card! I work on it for 20-30 minutes at a time, sometimes coloring an image first and making a card with it later.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Love these butterflies and the inks look fabulous

  54. I love butterflies! I love how beautiful and easy to make this card! I've been watching Catherine's Facebook live to revel her ink line, but haven't had the budget to get them yet. I am also so glad to learn about your work through Catherine's Facebook. I've only had a chance to watch some of the videos, but I appreciate what you've worked and shared. Thank you for sharing your talent (and your guest artists, too) , and thank you for a chance to win the CP inks!

  61. I absolutely love butterflies too! I'm trying to build up my card stash but am always needing to make one last minute! This card is beautiful and I'm looking forward to investing in these inks.

  62. Stunning card, I love the colours! It takes me quite a while to make a card - I do things very slowly as I have quite bad ME. Sometimes a complicated one can take a day or two or even more. I mostly just craft for short bursts at a time as my energy allows, that's why it takes so long. I don't mind though cause I love it and am grateful I can manage what i can! xxx

  63. These inks are so fabulous and vibrant! As for how long it takes me to create a card, it really varies a lot. If I've got an idea of where I'm headed and it turns out the way I had imagine, it doesn't take me that long. I find that when things don't go as planned is when I take the longest. A lot of the times when that happens, I need to put that project aside and concentrate on something else, going back to it the next day or so. However, normally I can get two to three cards done in an hour of crafting ^-^

  64. Oh what a cool card and so vibrant! I say it takes me an hour to do a card and that is why I am so intimidated to create videos...how does one edit??
