Masked Galaxy Background with Lawn Fawn

08:28

Hi Crafters,
today I am so happy to show off a card from Lawn Fawn - I absolutely love Lawn Fawn stamps but I seem to not feature them as often as I would like. They have such cute critter designs and adorable images that I fall in love with every release! Also, I find I don't have a lot of stamps that could be used for kid's cards, so these are perfect! Lawn Fawn is generously giving away a $20 gift certificate as well check that out later in the post.

I love night sky backgrounds against white cardstock. They pop so much and look different every time depending on which colours of ink you use. I love these backgrounds so much I cannot help but buy every space-themed stamp that I see.

  6. My card making depends on the mood I'm in when I actually create a card. The only thing I will say is I hardly do really cutesy-cute cards but do like fun cute if that makes any sense. I do like this space card you created.

  46. My card-making style is evolving ever more towards clean-and-layered. I love the finished look a mat gives, but I am also appreciating white space more and more. A one-layer card is a real challenge for me, but as I learn more about watercolour, masking and mixed media, the easier it gets.
I have used your idea (from the Christmas card class) for a Northern Lights sky several times. Today's galaxy is equally effective!

  60. Man, that's a tough question!! ^-^ I feel like I'm still trying to find my style when it comes to cardmaking. For this Easter season most of my cards were one layer, with lots of white space. I wanted the watercolor scene to be the star of the card. However, last Christmas most of my cards were all about pattern paper layering and shaker cards. I mostly just try to use the supplies I have at home, and so my style does shift a lot! :) but hey, beautiful card Justine! I love the white around that galaxy!
