5 Distress Halloween Backgrounds

00:21

Hi Crafters,
well I am just having so much fun creating the last couple of days. I think my mojo is back (touch wood!). Anyway, today I created a video and 5 cards on different Halloween backgrounds using distress inks and some stamps from So Suzy Stamps. So Suzy Stamps has FREE SHIPPING ending on October 2nd on orders $25 or more (International too!).

Background #1

For this card, I used Tim Holtz's Birch stencil, Distress Inks and the Fear Stamp from So Suzy Stamps.

I used four Distress Inks to create the background: Squeezed LemonadeFossilized AmberSpiced Marmalade, and Ripe Persimmon.

I added some googley eyes to the card. I wish I would have had different sizes of these but it was still a cool embellishment that coordinated with the Fear Stamp.

Background #2

For this card, I used the Thousand Years and the Shade stamps from So Suzy Stamps stamped in black ink.

I used four colours of Distress Ink: Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, Dried Marigold and Gathered Twigs.

Background #3

For this card, I wanted to create a whimsical, purple background that was not a perfect blending job but a really textured look using the Sorceress and Beware Stamps.

For this card, I used all the darker purple distress that I own: Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves.

I made sure to use a heavy hand while blending to get the texture of the sponge onto the card.

Background #4

For this card, I stamped the Trick or Treat stamp. It just fit perfectly into the left bottom corner.

I used four different colours and after they blended, it looks like a lot more: Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Mustard See and Crushed Olive.

Background #5

This card I posted the other day, so since it ties in well with the video and this post, I decided to add it. I used the Halloween Tree and the Be Scary Stamps.

These colours don't blend too well together but it worked overall. I used Crushed Olive, Carved Pumpkin and Wilted Violet.

Well, I hope you enjoyed these cards and backgrounds, this post took forever to write lol! But I had a blast making them. If you are interested in more Halloween things, you can check our my series from last year which I will embed below.
