Guest Designer at Inkspirational: Geometric Challenge

02:55

Hi Crafters,
today I am over at the Inkspirational Challenge Blog as a Guest Designer. I was invited a while back to do a post today as I had placed in the top 3 in November. Please join us this week over at Inkspirational to celebrate the Geometric Challenge (Interpret as you like)!

For this card I embossed the Geometric Backgrounds stamp from Close to my Heart (retired) onto a piece of watercolour paper. I stamped the stamp using my hands so that I could get uneven, unpredictable stamping on the background using Versamark Ink. I stamped the sentiment as well from the new Ponderings set from Tim Holtz. I embossed it using white embossing powder and watercolored overtop. I cut it out using stitched rectangle dies from Simon Says Stamp and mounted it onto some Neenah Card.

  2. I love the combination of the 'neat' squares pattern with the more organic/ watercolour/distressed look you have achieved. This card is both arty AND CAS! Great resist effect that makes your fab sentiment the star. Thank you so much for being our wonderful Guest Designer at Inkspirational.

  3. Justine, once again I'm marveling at your creativity. Your card is a perfect 'fit' for our challenge: innovative and artsy. That sentiment truly is the star of the stage, and your selection of images and techniques play marvelous supporting roles. Thank you for being our inspiring Geometrics Guest Designer...
