AAA Card Challenge #46: Masquerade

00:00

Hi Crafters,
this week I am over at the AAA Card Challenge for the Maskerade Challenge. You can interpret it any way you want - use the masking technique or use a mask image on your card. Come join us between August 16th - 29th.

I couldn't decide which card I liked better so I thought I would show them both off. Since I am in the middle of moving (and my camera decided to malfunction and stop recording) there is no video this week. Sorry!

For the first card, I used So Suzy Stamp's Venetian Mask Stamp and sponged it using various distress ink colours - Cracked Pistachio, Abandoned Coral and Squeezed Lemonade and stamped it on the white background. I then stamped the sentiment over-top. A quick and easy 5 minute card that can be attached to a variety of colours of card bases!

For this card, I used an image from Make it Crafty and coloured her using carious Copic Colours. I felt as if the dress and mask her the focus and didn't want to distract those beautiful colours, so I decided to colour her hair grey.

I hope you enjoyed my cards for the challenge - be sure to play along with us :)

  3. Both gorgeous cards, Justine. I really love that mask image and the colors you've used really look fantastic on it. The sentiment is wonderful. The second card is colored so beautifully. Love the colors on that one too, and agree that the hair being gray makes the turquoise, purple and skin tones.
