Watercolour Card using Distress Inks and Clearly Besotted Stamps

Hi Crafters!

Back to teaching this week, back to university this week - it is going to be a busy one! I am so excited to meet the new students arriving at our school and begin a new year. It is always a very exciting time in the life of a teacher!

Today I am featuring one of my favourite new stamping companies that I discovered not too long ago taking an online card class - Clearly Besotted Stamps. This Elegant Butterflies Stamp Set made my head spin with all the possibilities. Not only that, Stephanie has a whole section just for butterfly stamps (which are my favourite!). She is such a sweetie, I sent her an email to tell her how much I love her stamps and she took the time to write me back and thank me, I love dealing with small companies who appreciate your comments! Clearly Besotted Stamps are also available at Simon Says Stamp.

This is one of my first real attempts at a watercolour card. This was inspired by Kristina Werner's video and I did a similar technique, but instead I used butterflies :) I love the way it turned out. Please take the time to check out my Youtube video below on how to do this card. (I finally figured out a good angle for my camera but unfortunately I forgot to tie my hair back so I apologize in advance!) I really need to figure out how to get my camera over my workspace again!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. What a beautiful card and love the technique. I am having a hard time hear though, the volume on my laptop is as high as it can go...is it just me?

    1. Thank yo Debbie - I am sorry you are having trouble hearing. On my laptop I can here. I am going to try for my next video to place the camera elsewhere and maybe that will help :) Thanks for watching
