For that special someone...

And so concludes the 10 days of Valentine's Day Projects...

I hope that all of you are celebrating your loved ones whether it be a significant other, children, friends or family.  Valentine's Day (I know many don't like it) is a great day to just make sure you express your appreciation towards someone so they know that they mean something to you.  This is the card that I created for my special someone, Laynes :)

This chalkboard technique is so in!! And because I am a teacher, it suits me quite well.  I used a ton of different stamps from different sets and laid them out like I would if I were stamping on the black cardstock (with no ink yet).  Then I took my clear block and pushed down onto the stamps to create my own collage of stamps that is completely unique to me! I covered them in versamark and stamped onto the black cardstock, covered them in white embossing powder and heated them up.  Then i took my pigment white ink with a sponge and distressed the image to look like a dirty chalkboard.

Stamps Used: It's Your Day (retired - contact me if you want one), glamour alphabet lowercase, polka dot alphabet, keepsake alphabet, Whooo's your valentine (retired - contact me if you want one)

I took the whooo's your valentine stamp and heat embossed the three hearts using cranberry embossing powder.  I then laid down the pearls flourish, followed by a metal key (not CTMH) and then added a metal accent from the filigree embellishment set and lastly a doily flower (retired).
